NO VISITOR IS ALLOWED TO ENTER THE CAMPSITE + WEARING OF THE CAMPSITE BRACELET IS COMPULSORY ON THE WRIST during the entire stay.
The campsite is equipped with two swimming pools (the “Grande” and the “Zen&Relax”): they are reserved exclusively for Holidaymakers at Camping Les Verguettes.
For hygiene and safety reasons, only clothing suitable exclusively for swimming, fitted and short, is accepted: one- or two-piece swimsuits, swimming briefs or swimming shorts.
WEARING A DEDICATED BRACELET IS MANDATORY IN THE POOL AND THROUGHOUT THE CAMPSITE.
No visitors are allowed to enter the campsite or access the campsite facilities (toilets, swimming pools, play areas, etc.).
The Grande Piscine consists of:
- A main pool 15 m long and 7 m wide, with a depth ranging from 1 m to 2.20 m. It is accessible by non-slip stairs with a support bar.
- A paddling pool for small children, non-slip.
- A small slide for children from 3 to 10 years old.
- A footbath and a shower.
- A “beach” all around including deckchairs, relaxation chairs and parasols.
This swimming pool is open from mid-May to mid-September (more if the weather permits) and is secure and its set temperature is 27 ° C (actual temperature varies according to the climate). The pool beach is accessible to disabled people.
The Zen&Relax Pool is a pool dedicated to adults wishing to relax and unwind: no shouting, no rowdiness, just relaxation. It is heated only by the sun. It measures 4 m * 9 m and is 1.55 m deep.
A third pool, the Premium Pool, is reserved exclusively for holidaymakers staying in the Premium Cottages.
It measures 5 m by 10 m and has a submerged beach 1 meter wide by 0.20 cm deep. The rest of the pool is 1.60 m deep. It is surrounded by a concrete beach and a large area of synthetic grass and offers sun loungers for you to relax.
The Premium pool is covered and heated, as you can enjoy swimming even if the weather is bad. WEARING THE SPECIFIC PREMIUM BRACELET IS MANDATORY AT THE PREMIUM POOL AND THROUGHOUT THE CAMPSITE.
Premium cottage holidaymakers can also use the campsite’s other swimming pools (for example, to join friends staying at the campsite).
The swimming pools are cleaned daily and in full. The chlorine and PH levels are checked at least twice a day, and the swimming pools are checked by an independent body once a month in June, July and August as required by law.
By accessing the swimming pool, you agree to:
- Be a holidaymaker staying at the campsite. For the premium area swimming pool, you agree to stay at the premium cottages only.
- Remove your shoes before entering the pool area.
- Go through the footbath and take a shower before going into the water.
- Do not eat, drink, smoke, bring animals, play music, jump, run or push (the rules are posted at the entrance).
- Only wear a swimsuit that is only used for going to the pool and change each time (be careful with swimming shorts which must respect this constraint, burkinis are prohibited for hygiene reasons).
- Do not bring in a child under 18 years of age who is not accompanied by a responsible adult.
- The pool is not supervised. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
- Watch over your pool neighbors so that everyone can enjoy it.
- Do not leave your bath towel on a deckchair or chair all day to “reserve” your place. Any towel found on a deckchair or chair and whose owner is not in the pool area will be removed.
- Report any problem to us immediately.
- Wear the dedicated campsite bracelet.
These pools are private pools for use only by campsite vacationers. For the well-being of vacationers, no person outside the campsite is accepted in the pool area, there is no “pool” package sold at reception. In the event that a person from outside the campsite is identified within the swimming pool area, they will be liable to a fine and immediately expelled from the campsite, as well as the person who allowed them to enter. We thank you for your understanding.

Because it is a question often asked, we explain to you what the tourist tax is used for.
In the majority of countries, the state asks tourism professionals to charge holidaymakers and pay them a tourist tax. This is a certain amount, applied to each adult aged 18 and over. In France, the amount of this tax varies according to the Communes or the Community of Communes which collect it.
What is it for? (source Wikipedia)
Its amount is generally intended either to support the additional costs linked to tourism or to allow the development of tourism. The two are often linked today. It often makes it possible to finance the costs incurred by tourism, in particular the financing of the local tourist organization in varying proportions (tourist offices and documentation, for example ..).
The application in our Community of Communes and our campsite
Our Community of Communes is the CCVS: Community of Communes of Ventoux Sud. It includes a large part of the South-East of Ventoux, namely the municipalities of Villes-sur-Auzon, Sault, Blauvac, Mormoiron, Méthamis, Monieux, Aurel, Ferrassières, Saint-Christol … Do not hesitate to find the detail on http://ccvs84.fr/accueil.html.
For camping pitches and rentals, all adults aged 18 and over are liable to the tourist tax, in addition to the base rate.
There is also often an environmental tax (to offset the additional cost of managing household waste, for example) that we include by default in the price for pitches and rentals.
Because the holidays are also a good time to get together with several families and friends, it is important to be able to offer you solutions. By dint of experience and part of the leitmotif of our campsite, we want everyone to be satisfied by this reunion. It is therefore important to talk about it together.
Camping Les Verguettes is a small, quiet, family campsite. We, the owners of the campsite, work intensely to satisfy you and we feel directly concerned by the success of your holidays. We are hiring 4 employees for the season, who also do their utmost for your welcome and the cleanliness of the campsite. It’s a small, highly motivated team … but it’s not SuperMan!
Our campsite’s credo is to invite you to relax and explore this beautiful region, but also to take advantage of the campsite’s playg and relaxation facilities, all together and in harmony. This is why we organize activities a few afternoons and 1 evening per week in summer, to allow you to organize your holidays at your own pace.
It is therefore the same for groups. We particularly want to allow you to share your happiness, but while respecting the peace and serenity of the place.
The group must have a maximum of 12 people.
Thus, we are used to welcoming you with family or in small groups of friends or sportsmen. For this, it is essential to contact us before so that we can find you the best spot! If you want to be side by side, or a bit apart, we will do our best to accommodate your request. This is also why we do not charge for asking for side-by-side places or certain preferred places for our regulars. Above all, your well-being matters!
So that this well-being is shared by all holidaymakers on the campsite, we expressly ask you to respect the campsite rules:
- The noise must be controlled, to respect your neighbors (no loud music, no shouting ..). After 10 p.m., we ask you to be careful to reduce noise, and after 11 p.m., to be really calm, even in a group.
- The sanitary facilities and games (areas, swimming pools) are shared by all, and not only by a group. It’s always great to meet new people and share your games and experiences, that’s the spirit of camping!
- We leave one of our terraces with tables and chairs at your disposal (until 11:30 p.m. in high season, 10 p.m. in low season), in the common area of the campsite, relatively far from the pitches. Do not hesitate to find yourself in this dedicated space to share your group moments, rather than regrouping on a location, which could disturb your neighbors.
- The campsite is reserved for holidaymakers from the campsite. Thus, people outside the campsite are not included in these privileged accesses.
We will be happy to receive you in small groups, with respect for all. But, if you come to party the night away, there is surely a better place than our campsite! Looking forward!
No weddings :
It is not possible to rent accommodation for a wedding or family party. The campsite doesn’t fit for this kind of celebration. Opening and closing hours, silence constraints… are not compatible with the timetable of a wedding or a party.
We are sure you will be happy to go to Bed & Breakfast in the village (La Sarrasine) or around. They are very welcoming and can offer the breakfast service.
For your events (family or friends), we recommend:
– Moulin des Gypses at Mormoiron, offering guest rooms and good wine
– Camping La Cerise at Malemort-du-Comtat, offering pitches and rentals, with restaurant on site
– Camping des Favards at Violès, offering pitches and rentals, with the possibility of organizing events as well as the Favards vineyard right next door.
WHICH RENTAL TO CHOOSE: THE GUIDE
It can be a real headache! Depending on the campsite, depending on the region, the names of the rentals vary and we no longer know what to choose. But we can help you! Everyone has their own method for choosing their accommodation. It can depend on the comfort, the price, the number of people, the number of bedrooms… in short, there is no magic recipe, but we offer you some questions that you are asked most often.
1- Sanitary facilities in the accommodation or not?
We offer accommodation with sanitary facilities (kitchen sink, shower, toilet, washbasin) or without sanitary facilities. Of course, the price is affected, it is cheaper without sanitary facilities and it is a different experience.
2- How many people to accommodate? (a baby counts as one person)
The rentals have a maximum number of people who can be accommodated. We have chosen not to offer “sleeping in the living room”. Consequently, we cannot put more people than beds. And a baby is a person too :) So, if there are 5 of you, you won’t be able to choose accommodation for 4.. it seems logical, but it’s better when it’s written :) So, the question is: how many people to accommodate? if there are children, are they allowed to go on a bunk bed (over 6 years old)? what comfort do I want: an extra room to put my luggage in for example?
3- What comfort do I want? (number of rooms, air conditioning, dishwasher, etc.)
Simplicity and a lower price, air conditioning or not, TV, private garden? These may be questions that don’t matter to you when you’re on vacation or very important subjects in your choice. It’s up to you!
4- What price?
Of course, this question is very important, so you can check our prices at any time, as well as our promotions.
********
A little vocabulary..
To start, here is the vocabulary used in our campsite:
- Pod: This is a cabin, semi-rounded, all in wood. The pod does not have toilets. The friendliness and softness of the wood, as well as its rounded shape, will give you the impression of being in a cocoon. We have 2, designed for 2 adults and 1 child each.
- Lodge: This is a tent … very very comfortable. Built on a wooden floor, the walls and roof are made of canvas, except for the toilets and bedrooms which have wooden walls. The combination of canvas and wood will give you the feeling of enjoying camping in luxury. A real camping experience! We have 2, for 5 people each.
- Mobile home: there, you know … a small well-optimized house, often arranged in length (3 to 4 meters wide depending on the model) which offers you all the comfort of a house. All our mobile homes are equipped with bathrooms. And there is something for all family sizes: 2, 4, 5, 6, 10 people!
- Chalet: this is a bit like “the top of the range of mobile homes”. Unlike mobile homes that arrive “ready-made” at campsites, chalets are built on site. Thus, their shapes can be varied and are often more “square” than mobile homes. All our chalets have bathrooms, and are all equipped with air conditioning. We have 10 chalets: for 2, 5 or 6 people depending on the model.
- Cottage: with us, cottages are like gîtes. The top of the range! They are small Provencal houses (all solid and insulated to current standards), which offer a high quality of service: air conditioning, TV, dishwasher and terrace with private garden. We have 6 DUO premium cottages (two bedrooms, 6 people max for each), 2 TRIO premium cottages (3 bedrooms, 8 people max per cottage), 1 FAMILY premium cottage (5 bedrooms, 12 people max).
You can find the details and photos of each rental in the “Accommodations” menu.
Our fundamentals at Camping Les Verguettes
To finish on the questions often asked, here are some from our vacationers or future vacationers:
“There are 5 of us and 1 baby, does the baby not count as a person?”: well yes! yes, indeed, it must be counted, even if it is a very cute little being, but it is also a person. So if you are “5 + 1 baby”, it is accommodation for 6 that you will need… and remember that we rent baby beds and chairs to avoid overloading your cars.
“There are 5 of us, we are taking accommodation for 4 and the 5th will sleep on the floor/or in the living room?”: and no, not possible… for a comfortable holiday and for insurance reasons, we do not accept “wild camping” in the mobile homes. Likewise, the 5th will not be able to sleep in the car in the rental car park. But you can take a camping pitch for him without any worries (young people love it)! Our credo is to allow you to rest during your holiday and be comfortably installed in your accommodation.”
“We would like accommodations all next door”: yes, absolutely, if it is available and accommodations of the same type, we do it, no problem! And, when it is not possible, rest assured, the campsite is not very big, you can easily find each other in a few seconds.
“Can you give me a camping pitch next to our friends’ mobile home?”: yes, if it is possible but our rentals are not always near the pitches, there are like “neighborhoods”. Finally, don’t worry, the campsite is not very big, you can easily find each other in a few seconds.
“There are 2 of us but we take a mobile home for 4, so it’s cheaper?”: well, no, the accommodation is sized with a certain size and a certain number of amenities inside. And for us, the cleaning and inventory time depends on the size of the rental and not on the number of people inside. So, in effect, you take a little bigger, so it’s a little more expensive, as is often the case in shops. But you’ll be more comfortable there (except for special promotions).
“Our friends are coming to have lunch with us this afternoon, how does that work?”: For security reasons, no visitors are allowed on the campsite. The village is very close by with good restaurants and a bar, feel free to take advantage of it.

A question that comes up often is: “And in winter, what do you do?”
In fact, we open the camping pitches and rental accommodation (pods, lodges, mobile homes, chalets) in spring and summer and we close in mid-autumn and in winter. But why ?
- Because the water pipe installations are not insulated from frost, and here the winter is nice but cold :)
- Because the maintenance of green spaces requires a lot of time and free access to the pitches
- Because we take the opportunity to do improvement and repair work for the following year
- Because we take vacations and enjoy our children!
- Because the winter, the region is calm, there are few people and we could not pay the basic charges not being sure to have people .. economic reality, when you catch up with us!
